Meet the Robinsons)
THE BLUNDERS is about a group
of friends who moved to L.A.
to find fame and fortune, but found
only obscurity and debt. Nothing is
working out the way it was supposed
to for Suzy, Ezra, Gretel and Chip.
They get fired from jobs they don’t like.
They lie to creditors while living off maxed-out credit cards. They have mortifying
Internet dates. They attend AA meetings while drunk. They steal self-help books
from New Age bookstores. Love and success remain elusive. They are groping
for faith in an uncertain world.Accomplices in one another’s delusions, they keep
on hacking away and chasing the dreams they have no business dreaming in the
first place. By society’s standards, they are losers. But somehow they seem less
like losers because they have each other.
A hilarious evening of environmental theatre where the audience is seated in the bar amidst the characters, and the story unfolds around them.
