It may feel like Summer, but this weekend Fall into Upright Cabaret.
This Friday and Saturday, the Upright Revue is going back to old school… and back to basics. A piano, a microphone and some of the best singers in the city.
Join the hip contemporary social swirl of young Hollywood and Broadway as Producer/Hosts Chris Isaacson and Shane Scheel along with Music Director Chris Bratten present a fresh Fall line-up of new faces and the return of some Upright classics:
- Broadway “Hero” Shoshana Bean drops in to perform her recently released single and title track from her upcoming album Superhero.
- Leslie McKinnell bids adieu to her Upright family as she prepares for her new adventures in NY’s “Lipstick Jungle”.
- Spencer Day starts his “Amazing Race” in West Hollywood this weekend as he prepares to depart on his concert tour of Asia.
- Dawn Scheel , who relocated to Texas, returns from the land of “Friday Night Lights” and returns to the Friday night spotlight.
- NY musical theatre vet turned “Top Designer”, Adam Hunter, steps away from the fabric samples and onto the Upright stage.
- Amy Hillner, Colin Kim, Natalie Lander, Briana Lane, Carly Menkin, Nicholette Robinson and Julie Stevens are part of the “Entourage” of new voices making their Upright debut.
- And Caissie Levy joins this WICKED line-up of performers. The only thing scary at Upright Cabaret is the amount of talent in one “House”.
Scheduled performances include: Dave Barrus (Broadway: Les Miserables), Shoshana Bean (Broadway: Wicked, Hairspray), Spencer Day, Tim Draxl, Julie Garnye (Broadway: Hair Concert), Ben Goldberg, Seana Harris (Rock of Ages), Amy Hillner, Adam Hunter (Broadway: Lion King, Ragtime, Les Miserables), Chad Kimball (Broadway: Into The Woods, Lennon, Good Vibrations), Natalie Lander (Legally Blonde The Musical: The Search For Elle Woods), Caissie Levy (Broadway: Wicked, Hairspray), Lesley McKinnell, Carly Menkin, Jennifer Naimo (Broadway: Jersey Boys, Grease), Leslie Odom Jr. (Brodway: Rent), Aleks Pevec (LA: Who’s Tommy), Nicholette Robinson, Dawn Scheel, Julie Stevens (Broadway: Annie), Talia Thiesfield and probably more.
